February Events
- 1, 8, 15, 22 - Church-Wide Meal & Winter Bible Study - Book of Daniel, 5:45 pm meal ($4 per person or $15 per family), 6:30-7:30 Bible study; activities and studies for children & youth, nursery for preschoolers
- 4 - Project WARM, 7 am breakfast at church, 8 am wood lot - split wood & deliver; for more info, contact Buddy C
- 4-5 - IYC Senior High Overnight Retreat at our church, 9:30 am - 2 pm
- 5 - Souper Bowl of Caring, Youth sponsoring collection of soup and other canned goods for our food pantry
- 5 - Church-wide Potluck Lunch following worship service; the District Senior High youth (see 2/4-5, above) will join us
- 5 - Super Bowl Flag Football Game at Penn Forest Elementary School, 2 pm, all children, youth and adults invited to join in
- 5 - Service of Remembrance, 4 pm
- 7 - Corn Hole, 6 - 7:30 pm in fellowship hall - guys and girls, ages Sr High to 99+, come join the game . . . and fun
- 9 - Koffee Klatch at Roanoker, 9 am - join Pastor Ed & Carol; a time together for those who are widowed; for support, encouragement, conversation
- 12 - Anointing Service, 4 pm
- 17-18 - Women's Overnight Retreat - Growing Together With God, 6 pm - 11 am at our church, for women of all ages; dinner & breakfast provided, Fri night feature - Kyle Edgell, caricature artist; preregister (by Feb 12) with L Crumpacker, C Hambleton, or J Saunders; no fee, but donations accepted
- 19 - Fellowship Class - Showtimers Play, 2 pm Play, meet at church at 12:45 pm with bag lunch
- 23 - Joyful Hearts - Foreign Exchange Program, 10:30 am program by Carol Elmore; bring your favorite salad to share
- 25 - Red Cross Blood Drive
- 26 - Singspiration at our church, with Staunton Ave Church of God; 4 pm - singing & fellowship, and potluck dinner

- Mar 1 - Sow the Seed Scholarship Banquet at Camp, to support Camp Summer Program; 6:30 pm dinner - $40 per person (larger gifts accepted), donations directly fund summer camp ministries; RSVP by 2/27

- Mar 25-28 - Pre-Easter Awakening Services, sponsored by Roanoke area Church of the Brethren congregations, held this year at our church; Tim Harvey, speaker
- Mar 30 - Camp Bethel Volunteer Appreciation Dinner, 6:30
- Mar 31 - Camp Bethel Spring Work Day, 7:30 am, RSVP free meals
- Apr 20-21 - 11th Sounds of the Mountains Festival, music & storytelling by nationally known tellers & musicians
- Jun 18-22 - Nat'l Young Adult Conference, U of Tennessee, Knoxville TN, ages 18-35, cost $375, register on-line; to carpool, contact M St. John at District Office, 362-1816
